Mission Possible Associate Grants are designed to encourage creativity, problem-solving and contributions to innovative solutions in the workplace. Mission Possible associate grants recognize and celebrate groundbreaking ideas or processes that push the boundaries of what is possible. These awards highlight innovation as a key driver of progress and success, encouraging a culture of forward thinking.
Funding eligibility
Any department or program within Ascension Wisconsin is eligible to apply. Funding requests must include the following to be considered:

Completed funding request
-
Program budget or equipment quote
-
Documented approval of department leadership

Mission Possible grants will be awarded for projects up to $5,000 with a focus in the areas of impact and innovation. Projects should enhance patient experience and/or provide creative approaches to improving efficiencies in the work environment.
Examples of programs and projects that may be funded:

Innovative equipment to improve patient care or clinical experience

Start-up funds for new programs or research

Productivity improvements that provide the same level of service at a lower cost, provide a higher level of service at the same cost, avoid or reduce future costs, or improve sustainability of projects and practices
Mission Possible grants do NOT fund:​

Replacement or repair of existing equipment
-
Capital projects and equipment
-
Staff certifications or continuing education
-
Non-Ascension entities or individuals
Request process
Funding requests must be submitted on this application form with all required documentation and approvals.

Applications will be reviewed in March, June, September and December. Requests must be received prior to the 1st of the month; any requests received after that date will be considered in the following quarter.
Timeline for approval and notification
Funding requests will be accepted on an ongoing basis with quarterly review by an internal committee of associates chosen from various sites and regions.

Decisions will be announced on March 30, June 30, September 30 and December 31 of each year.
Review process
A committee of 7 to 10 associates will review the grant applications on a quarterly basis using a scoring rubric developed by Ascension Wisconsin Foundation. The committee will be comprised of staff in
non-leadership positions who are current Mission Possible donors.

The responsibilities of committee members are to:

Read applications, scoring each objectively

Participate in quarterly virtual committee meetings

Promote Mission Possible giving and grants programs at their individual work sites
Reporting and expenses
Mission Possible grants are awarded through a reimbursement process. All awardees will need to submit expenses to the Foundation for reimbursement.

Grant awardees will receive a final report form to complete within 30 days of fund transfer.
